Michael McGee is a Minneapolis based composer who writes for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles and vocal groups. He studied composition at Manhattan School of Music, Mannes school of music and University of California San Diego.
His teachers include Willian Sydeman, Thomas Pasatieri, Robert Erikson and Pauline Oliveros.
Mr. McGee is fluent in many different styles ranging from traditional tonal choral works, to post modern instrumental music, to electronic and experimental.
His versatility is evident in his collaboration with dancers, multi-media artists and experimental instrument builders.
